Glen Oakes Reception Centre
This new 17,750 ft2 funeral home was completed in 2003 in Oakville. The design included a 140 seat chapel, 5 visitation rooms, a large lounge area that can be divided into two smaller rooms, offices and sales area, staff area, works rooms, lobby and reception, as well as a drive through garage. The exterior was designed to have many tranquil areas for attendants including covered patios and gardens. The exterior facade was designed to be residential in scale to blend in with the surrounding neighborhood by use of asphalt shingle roofing, and a mix of wood siding and stone veneer.
