The Niagara Parks Commission
Oakes Garden Theatre restoration was completed in Winter of 2002 and included four main projects. The retaining wall on Falls Ave was removed, new concrete backing poured and the original stone reinstalled. Broken stone on the walkways was removed and replaced with new larger pieces, existing balusters along Clifton Hill were repaired, and the stairs to the theatre were removed and reinstalled with new foundations.
Mather Arch restoration was completed in 2001 and involved a new public washroom, complete stone masonry repair and cleaning, flagstone paving was repaired, new stone figurines, fountain was repaired, new lighting and landscaping.
Victoria Park Restaurant renovations completed in 2004 included a new colonnade entrance to the property, a new vestibule entrance to the cafeteria, a new covered entrance to the restaurant, as well as new paving stones walkway and patio.
