Fallsview Indoor Waterpark
Billed as one of the largest indoor waterparks in North America, the Fallsview contains 3 acres of entertainment including 16 waterslides, an indoor wave pool, kids play area, outdoor pool and sundeck and restaurant. The project was extremely complicated and full of challenges as the location of the park is constructed on top of an existing seven storey parking garage, due to the high density of buildings in the tourist area and property value around the Falls. The existing structure had to be reinforced from the ground up with columns extending through the parking garage. To reduce the weight, the envelope of the park is a PVC wrapped insulated truss structure. All hotels on the property were then subsequently connected to the waterpark to allow indoor access year round.
