The Catechist Sisters of the Sacred Heart have operated a Child Daycare from their convent on Sullivan Avenue for many years, providing a vital childcare service to members of the neighboring Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church and the wider community. In 2019, the Sisters enlisted the expertise of RAAI to design a new addition to the front of their building, focusing on creating a safer and more accessible entry. The new entrance vestibule, along with a double curved stair design, was carefully crafted to preserve and enhance the building's original architectural style while improving its functionality and overall quality. The project was successfully completed in 2021.
The project also included a new façade, completed in 2024, which refreshed the building's appearance. This update not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures the building remains in line with modern standards while complementing the surrounding architectural elements. The refreshed façade contributes to the building's continued role as a valued community space.
